Attract an Endless Flood of New Prospects Day 4: How To Turn The Prospects Who Said “No” Into Profit

The driving factor in every single action or decision made by any person is based on one single thing: “The desire to avoid pain or acquire pleasure.”

When you share your business opportunity with a prospect and they tell you “no”, it is because the pleasure they perceive they would gain from starting a business does not out-weigh the pain they perceive it would cause them.  That perceived pain might be the costs necessary to start the business or having to learn something new and move outside their comfort zone. By positively pumping up the prospect’s emotional state, you can help them through this perceived pain.

Every single thing we buy is based on our emotions. We bought the car we drive because of how it made us feel.

Buying into a business and a dream of financial security is no different.  It is also based on emotion.

You buy into a business because of how it would make you feel to have financial security, but you would justify the decision with the fact that it’s a great business opportunity in a well-funded company.

By utilizing the magnetic sponsoring method, your goal in getting a prospect to join your team and become a distributor is to make sure that it is their idea.  Once they have had the time to completely digest the decision to become a distributor, they become dedicated and they’re in it for the long-term.  This is what you should be looking for in team members.

The best way to get a prospect to decide for themselves that the business opportunity is right for them is by repeatedly marketing to them over time. They need to make the decision in their own time frame, not yours. Don’t use pressure tactics and incentives. When the prospect “sells” themselves on the opportunity, you will find that they will be higher quality team members.

It is important to remember that most people are lazy. They want things fast and easy without having to do the work. They purchase hope. They believe that success comes from something outside of themselves.

Most people would rather learn how to do something, rather than actually doing it. They purchase the dream of what the could give them, instead of using drive and determination to work for it. Instead of making a firm, unwavering decision, they give into their emotions and when those emotional feelings wear off, their desire to become fades away.

When most distributors start a business, they don’t do what it takes to be successful.  They fall into self-doubt and experience buyer’s remorse. This will happen with 80% of your prospects and distributors.  This is called the 80/20 rule and you’ll never get around it.

The fact is that 9 out of 10 home business owners will spend more money on their business than they will ever make. It is pretty much the standard operating procedure for entrepreneurs starting out in this industry.  It is expected that they pay their dues while they work themselves through the learning curve.  But for those that keep trudging along, learning as the go, they will in time succeed.  There is always a price to pay for education in any industry.
